I just woke up from a startling dream.
In this one, I was with my parents and a guy in a four wheel drive was a key part of the catalyst for the detonation of the nuclear bomb that would end our time on earth. The guy was a rich young man probably in his 20s or maybe early 30s.
Earlier in the day, I had been warning my parents and telling them that he was the one who would cause the last bomb to be detonated but they weren’t too concerned and they were not yet Christians either.
As the sun was going down and dusk was falling, we watched out the window of the house we were in as the young guy left another home next to us in his four wheel drive. Our houses were in a large court on a hill with a view over a large city.
As the guy left, he was very angry about something and spun the wheels of his vehicle on his way out. At that point, I knew the final moment had arrived and the last nuclear bomb was about to be detonated and I looked at mum and dad to remind them of my earlier warnings. They just sat at the table with me silently looking out the window across the city.
Shortly afterwards, we heard the boom and watched as a massive mushroom cloud formed. I grabbed hold of my parents hands and pleaded with them to cry out to the Lord for mercy and forgiveness because this was it. They were about to face eternal judgement and I wanted them to be with me in heaven.
They responded with sobering looks and knew what I had told them previously about the gospel and their need to repent was true but I woke up before I knew if they repented.
Praise The Lord.
Is there a church in Adelaide.
There are many Robyn. The question is are there many sound ones? Unfortunately not but it is the same everywhere in these last of the last days, just as Jesus stated would be the case.
A small group of us meet together for weekly fellowship and evangelism and we can be found in Rundle Mall most Friday evenings.
The word “church” as used in the New Testament actually means a gathering of called out believers. That is what the Greek title of this blog actually translates to. There’s more about that here… Is That Greek?
God bless,
David.
Bro David, you probably don’t remember me, but I have met you in Adelaide when I was there about 1 year ago. My burden is for a, like you said “sound” church in Adelaide. It can be done by Gods grace. Robyn
My apologies Robyn but I’m not good at remembering names. We meet many people on the street but I’d probably remember you if I saw you in person.
